RJR Labs LLC today launched VeriProof, a control plane for enterprises putting AI agents into production. The platform checks a proposed agent action against the organization's rules while the action can still be changed, escalates the exceptions to a person with the authority to decide, and keeps the resulting decision record in a form an outside reviewer can verify.
Most enterprise agent programs stall between a working pilot and a production rollout. The model is rarely the reason. Work stops when nobody can say which rule applied, who approved the exception, which agents are covered, and what the agent actually did, so the people accountable for risk cannot sign off.
"A policy document cannot control a system that takes its own actions," said Bob Janacek, founder of RJR Labs. "Neither can a log you write about yourself. What a bank or a hospital needs is the rule that applied, the person who decided, and a record their auditor can check independently. That is the product."
The result VeriProof is built for is agentic AI that gets out of pilot, into production, and stays there, delivering for the organization rather than being quietly retired after the first incident.
What VeriProof does
Escalates to a person with authority
Exceptions reach an authorized reviewer with the context and the response format the decision needs. The signed response returns to the workflow, and the application applies it.
Records what actually happened
The request, the rule, the review, and the outcome the application reported stay linked as one decision record.
Proves the record is intact
Evidence packages ship with a signed inventory and a proof reference. A reviewer verifies the signature with a trusted public key, without going through VeriProof.
Built for the whole organization, not only the developers
Most agent tooling is built for the developers shipping the agent, and serves them well. It produces little for the business owners, compliance officers, auditors, senior management and boards who are accountable for what those agents do. VeriProof provides the business telemetry and workflows those constituents need: a record of every agent decision in the vocabulary of the industry it came from, with the review, evidence and reporting built around it.
VeriProof governs agents however they were built: those written with its SDKs, those a colleague assembles in Microsoft Copilot Studio, those working through a browser, and those reaching enterprise systems through tools. Controls that only reach one framework leave the rest of the fleet ungoverned.
Decisions are recorded in the vocabulary each industry already uses. VeriProof ships field catalogs for fourteen industries drawn from published standards including ISO 20022 and BIAN in banking, MISMO in mortgage, ACORD in insurance, HL7 FHIR in healthcare, TM Forum in telecommunications, and ISA-95 in manufacturing. Agents emit those field names, policies are written against the same names, and reviewers read a plain-language label with a citation to the standard behind it.
Six roles work from that shared record with access set by role: business owner, governance engineer, compliance officer, developer, administrator, and an auditor who can follow the evidence without changing the work.
Deployment and availability
VeriProof is available today as a managed service or deployed in the customer's own Azure subscription, isolated from the VeriProof SaaS environment. An Edge Gateway runs eligible policy checks beside the application for high-frequency agent workflows.
Organizations can request a free 30-day trial and connect one workflow to test its policy and review paths.
RJR Labs is also taking ten founding customers across the industries VeriProof covers. Each works with a named engineer through their first governed workflow, helps shape the policy catalog and industry vocabulary for their sector, and holds pricing for two years.
